The Radisson St. Paul Downtown receives mixed guest reviews, with some praising the friendly staff and convenient location, while others highlight cleanliness concerns and dated facilities. Recent feedback indicates significant inconsistency in room quality and hotel amenities, impacting the overall guest experience.
I had an exceptional stay at the Radisson in St. Paul! From the moment I walked in, the hospitality was outstanding. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, but what truly made my experience memorable was Shay at the front desk. Shay went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. She was incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely kind. Her positive attitude and willingness to help made check-in effortless, and she took the time to ensure everything about my stay was perfect. It's rare to come across someone who cares so much about creating a great guest experience, and Shay absolutely exceeded every expectation. I am a Regional Task Force GM, and I can assure you; customer service like hers is the reason people return to a hotel. Thank you, Shay, for making my stay so enjoyable! I highly recommend the Radisson in St. Paul and will definitely stay here again.
The hot tub was broken, and the pool was closed from about 4-8pm. The staff was friendly but we specifically chose this hotel for the pool and hot tub so my kids were very disappointed. Also, there was no shower curtain in our bathroom so that was a wet mess
In town for work. Wasnt sure if ok hotel, was leary with such a reasonable rate. Pleasantly suprised. Had reg rm with king size. Hotel was nice, clean, and room was very roomy, also had sofa sleeper, mini refrig, microwave, and larger 46" or 50" tv. Bathrm was cozy and ok. Shower had super hot water and quickly. Was 8 mins from my work and close to good food choices. Felt safe in area, will stay again.
Take my advice: do not book this hotel. The location feels unsafe for going out in the evening, and the restaurant was closed on Sunday with no safe dining options within walking distance. The toilet didn’t work, there was old hair in the bed, and the breakfast was completely depleted (see photos). The manager was somewhat rude instead of offering compensation. I travel frequently around the world and have never experienced such a poor-quality Radisson before.
Very impressed. Staff was super nice, rooms were nice and very clean. Shuttle service to and from the MN Wild playoff game. The shuttle driver was great! We will definitely stay here again! The hotel bar looked beautiful but didnt get a chance to visit it. Same with the pool!
Stayed here for a concert weekend and had a great experience overall. The rooms were clean, the location was convenient, and everything was exactly what we needed for the trip. What really stood out though was the front desk staff. I unfortunately don’t remember her name, but she was incredible. It honestly felt like she was the only one working the entire time we were there, and she handled everything with a great attitude. She went above and beyond to help us out and even drove us to the TWICE concert, which we absolutely did not expect. That level of service is rare. She deserves serious recognition and a raise because she made our entire stay better. Would definitely stay here again.
In town for a concert. (Jayme)? At the front counter was awesome! Very friendly, knowledgeable and a true asset for this hotel. Room was very clean. Breakfast was good. Shuttle driver was personable and helpful. Will stay here again if in the area.
My friend and I booked this hotel because it was reserved for a wedding we were attending. Check in was fine; however, the issues started immediately when we got to our room. The room was dirty. It looked as if it hadn't been cleaned after the last guest checked out. I pulled the bedding back and found multiple strands of hair that were folded in between the sheet and comforter. They were clearly visible. There were black stains on our pillow cases as well. We went downstairs to ask if the room could be cleaned and were told that no one would be able to clean it. It was suggested by a woman working there that we could remake our own beds. I couldn't believe she actually said that. We asked to be moved to a different room and were met with a slight attitude. The woman said we would move down to the third floor because it had just been deep cleaned. Clearly our original room had not been cleaned at all so I was hopeful. The new room was okay (I can say it was much cleaner than the old one) but it still wasn't the greatest. The whole hotel is in desperate need of updating and staff need to be trained how to professionally clean the rooms. The woman who moved us could have had some better customer service training as well. She made comments about how she wasn't going to clean the room since she was off the clock. She seemed annoyed by our request and unwilling to do anything other than the bare minimum. Overall, I would not return to this hotel. The experience was terrible and the price I paid was crazy for the service received. There were two people at the hotel who were amazing and they deserve a shout out. First, the shuttle driver, Sean I believe, was incredible! So nice and personable. He was a bright spot in the terrible day. The other person was his wife who was working the front desk at checkout. She was aware of our situation and tried her best to make sure we knew how sorry she was. She was funny and very kind.
The lady at the front desk with dark hair and I cant remember pink or red streaks super friendly. She was very helpful and nice. The rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast though is definitely lacking. The French toast sticks were very soggy and luke warm. The sausage looks really gross and old. Looked burnt and just icky. Wasn't much for variety. Shaun the shuttle driver was the best part of our trip. He dropped us off and picked us up from the grand casino. He was so chatty and lively. A breath of fresh air in saint paul.
Don’t believe any negative reviews. This was our first time visiting St. Paul visiting from Toronto to watch the world junior hockey tournament and booked this hotel 2 hours before arriving on Priceline and got an amazing rate. Front desk staff upon arrival was top notch, informative and helpful. Our room was perfect. Almost seemed like a recent makeover. Clean, beds soft and nice Samsung TV. Bathroom was tiny but manageable. Shuttle back and forth to the arena was quick and convenient. Friendly driver! Cafe and continental breakfast was superb! Clean and plenty of choices. My boys even arrived late for breakfast and the young lady running the cafe accommodated them past closing with a smile. I would definitely recommend and stay again at this hotel. Great job staff!!!
