This B&B is a gem. The house has beautiful original woodwork, and is in a great neighborhood with shops & restaurants nearby. The best part is the breakfast by Chef Kevin - truly worth the stay. One of the best B&B’s we’ve ever stayed at.

As a fellow bed and breakfast owner, I can’t help but admire what you’ve created at Historic District Bed & Breakfast. Your beautifully preserved 1896 home, complete with original charm and modern comfort, is a true urban retreat. And the chef-crafted hot breakfast? Simply delightful. A perfect stay in the heart of St. Paul.

Well located, well maintained historic house in a quiet neighborhood. Room was well appointed, comfortable, and clean. Host Kevin was gracious, welcoming and cooked a delicious, fresh, custom breakfast each morning. Lots of space in the common area with several rooms, including a well-stocked "game" room. Absolutely lovely place!

The Historic District Bed and Breakfast was everything that my wife and I had hoped it would be. The house was beautiful, the room was comfortable and private. We loved the character of the home, very inviting and in such a beautiful and historic neighborhood in St. Paul. We were able to walk around the historic district and the beautiful homes near the Summit Ave corridor and were also able to walk to dinner. Our host was friendly and helpful and not to mention and excellent chef! Kevin provided home cooked and fresh breakfasts each morning and some great conversation. We would definitely recommend this B&B to others and we would certainly book again in the future.

The Historic District Bed & Breakfast was a wonderful find for our short stay in St. Paul. Our room was comfortable and classy. Breakfast the next morning was phenomenal. Kevin, owner & chef, was very personable and took the time to make sure our stay was perfect. I look forward to returning and staying longer next time.

Kevin is a great host. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathrooms are immaculate. We loved our stay. Breakfast was very nice with coffee, tea, muffins, eggs, toast, and bacon made to order. We will stay there again.

Our experience at Historic District Bed and Breakfast was fantastic. Prior to arriving, Kevin was wonderful at answering questions. We stayed in the Carriage House which was such a nice, private accomodation. We could walk to all of our favorite places on Selby, Grand and Summit. Best of all was Kevin's breakfast service. Personal and very well prepared. This is a great place to stay!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming bed and breakfast! Every morning started with a delicious, chef-prepared breakfast that was both beautifully presented and full of flavor—truly a highlight of our trip. The carriage house was perfectly appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The beds were incredibly cozy, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring. The attention to detail, warm hospitality, and peaceful atmosphere made this a perfect getaway. Highly recommend—can’t wait to come back!

We made a last minute reservation for the Fitzgerald Room and it was fantastic. Comfortable, well accommodated, all the amenities you could ask for. The breakfast each day was delicious and well presented. Such a beautiful place and very well kept. I recommend you book your stay whenever possible right here.

We have had many experiences at B&B's around the country but to have a warm, wonderful, and welcoming get-away such as the Historic District Bed & Breakfast right here in our own backyard of St Paul? Well, we feel truly blessed and expect to enjoy many more stays here in the future. The Fitzgerald Room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom simply amazing with such well thought out touches as motion-activated undercabinet night lighting, dual shower heads, soft, luxurious towels, and an absolutely gorgeous tiled shower. The small fridge in the closet was a very nice touch for storing the evenings left-overs from dinner. Kevin is the consumate host, a gifted chef, and an entertaining story-teller. The only thing better than the food at breakfast, was the conversation. Do yourself a favor and stay an evening or two at the Historic District Bed & Breakfast. You will fall in love with it just as much as we have.
