Treasure Island Resort & Casino receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising the updated rooms and amenities, particularly the water park and pool area. However, recurring concerns involve inconsistent room cleanliness, issues with in-room appliances (AC, refrigerator), and persistent smoke odors despite non-smoking requests. The casino experience varies, with some finding it enjoyable while others report problems with ID verification and potential manipulation of bingo games.
recently stayed in the New Buffalo Tower at Treasure Island Casino, and I have to say—the room itself is fantastic. It’s spacious, sleek, and feels newly updated, with a clean, modern design that’s genuinely comfortable. The bathroom was a highlight: the rainfall shower head alone made the stay feel like a mini spa retreat. Everything from the tile work to the lighting gave off a high-end vibe. That said, there were a few disappointments. The air conditioning never reached the temperature I set, which was frustrating because I like my room ice-cold—let’s just say I prefer sleeping in conditions closer to a morgue. The AC just couldn’t deliver. The walls were also thinner than expected; at night, I could clearly hear kids yelling and running in nearby rooms, which made it hard to sleep. Finally, the mini-fridge acted in reverse—the colder I tried to make it, the warmer it got, ruining some snacks I brought along.Overall, the room itself is great, but management should address the AC, wall insulation, and refrigerator issue
Love it here. They have a wide selection of machines to choose from. From New to old. Idk if it's just me but I like to move around a little when I gamble. All the employees were so nice helpful & right there if I needed anything or even had a question as to if they had a certain machine. Spent the whole day there & enjoyed every minute! Definitely have to plan a trip back, Maybe even a night, As to the rooms looks nice & clean & comfy also!
Not a too far trip from the cities (about 45min-hour) with cheap gas station right next to it. There's a membership that all you'll need is ID with great perks and benefits (birthday deal too!) Theres bingo, wide selection of slots including a smoking room and hand tables. Theres 2 bars, a restaurant, coffee cafe and deli/market thing for cafeteria style food. And there's always endless free soda, coffee or hotcocoa to enjoy. By the hotel theres The Lagoon with small waterpark for kids, regular pool, a swim up bar pool and 3-4hot tubs with one outside but its only open Fri-Sun select hours.
Before covid hit, this used to be a pretty fun and decent place to visit. Not anymore. They've tightened their belts so much that the trickle down effect into the patrons pockets is basically zero. I get that its a casino... but come on already. Pffft. As far as the bingo hall goes, plan on dropping a bundle only to be set up for just about every game only to be utterly disappointed. The same people seem to win a lot. Makes me question whether things are kinda fishy since your bingo machine is tied to your club card once you buy in. To me, that right there tells me that the establishment controls if you're going to win or not. But who am I to say, right? I'm just an unlucky bingo player who always manages to come oh so close to winning too often while never actually being able to win. It doesn't matter how many packs you purchase either. You're not gonna win if they don't want ya to. Plain and simple. This place and its bingo parlar a total disappointment. Save your money and play bingo somewhere else.
We decided to take a long weekend (3 nights) vacation at treasure island for the water park and bowling and gambling. The only room they had available was a smoking room in Eagle tower (we don't smoke), so we took it, because it was closest to the water park. We thought air freshener and lysol would help, because we've stayed in smoking rooms before and it was nothing like this room we stayed in (room 359). We used 2 bottles of air freshener and even asked the housekeeper for air freshener (didn't help). We also found a cigarette butt on the floor (took a picture). When we checked out, I mentioned this to the lady at the desk (even showed her the picture) and all she said was " im sorry about that". I feel the least they could have done was to waive the resort fee or something, but Nope. Everything we brought with smelled like smoke when we got home. Not impressed! The hallway smelled better than our room
We were so excited to stay here for the first time but ended up being mostly disappointed. Biggest issue is the bedding was clearly not clean. When we pulled back the sheets to go to bed we found it was covered in body hair all over! Tv had minimal channels that actually came in, and no microwave, which was a minor thing but still annoying considering all the restaurants on site.. people want to heat up left overs! The bed was hard and sheets were so scratchy! The shower was nice and the room decor was nice. We stayed in the Wolf Tower. When I’m paying $400/night for the room I expect much better! The Lagoon was cool but it was so crowded it was hard to enjoy everything there. Tado Steakhouse was honestly the highlight of our night. I give them 5 stars!
My fiancé and I stayed for two nights and overall had an enjoyable experience. We paid approximately $300+ for the room. While the rooms were comfortable, I do feel they could be a bit more updated for the price point. There was no microwave in the room and no bathtub—only a shower—which wasn’t a major issue but was slightly inconvenient without requesting accommodations in advance. The pool area was very fun, though somewhat small. I really enjoyed the swim-up bar and the hot tub. However, the water in the kids’ area and the lazy river was quite cold. I would recommend warming it up more during the winter months, especially since the area has many windows. I also think it would be a great idea if the swim-up bar and hot tubs stayed open later for adults 21+ as that would definitely be a popular addition. The food was consistently good. We ordered from Mango Bay and also ate at the buffet. The new ice cream machine was a highlight—both my kids and I really enjoyed it. Overall, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful, which made our stay more pleasant.
Non smoking room has smoke smell. Noticed when checking, but not bad enough to change rooms. Water park was well supervised and the employees were very friendly. Currents restaurant was fine for dinner, but having another option would be nice every day of the week.
Pretty high price for the limitations, but it was a weekend away without the kids. We gambled a little, lost a little, laughed a lot. Didn't eat there, so I can't comment on the food. The pool could be open earlier, but it was refreshing. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
I was visiting a friend in Hastings, so I thought I would stop in and check them out after. I'm a Laughlin Nevada Riverside Resort yearly visitor, and was curious how they compare! Can't breathe in the smoking section, lol, so I was very glad there was a large no smoking fresh air section. Super nice employees, I stopped and chatted with a few. Very nice operation, and they keep it pretty clean, with employees wiping things down, which is a good thing. Very large variety of games, something for everyone. I might stop back in if in the area again some day! They have a large hotel available, so it would make for a nice get away. I can't give any stars for the rooms, since I didn't get or see one. Parking was plentiful, but it was busy. Security drives around the lot, that was also good to see.
