The Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in Shoreview, MN, receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its cleanliness and location near the State Fair. However, recurring concerns center around inconsistent service, pool maintenance issues, and guest dissatisfaction with refunds or assistance during their stays. Recent reviews highlight problems with unresponsive management and issues with room conditions.
They will take your security deposit over spilled yogurt, literally . I vacuumed my room, cleaned everything up, put it all in a pile and picked up all garbage, requested bags, etc. and they still took my security deposit. I would strongly encourage you to stay away from this hotel unless you plan to add an extra $75 to your stay! It also took over two weeks for me to be able to speak with a manager. Terrible customer service and will NEVER be back.
Nice hotel for if you are in the local area. Had basketball and kids with. Staff was great. Didn't catch the women's name at the front desk but she was awesome! Only thing missing is a local bar next door. Otherwise nice and clean hotel.
Decent place. The pool is small and the water slide is slow and boring but the rooms are nice and clean. A good place to go if you just need to sleep
A bunch of us women got rooms for an event. We were able to be in the meeting room. The pool was shut down. Several people had issues with their rooms. The elevator stopped working. Etc... The staff was great as far as I saw
They don’t care. Had a birthday party here, and the pool was broken leading up to it. They promised it would be fixed in time. Come the day of the party, the kiddy pool, hot tub, and waterslide were all broken. They told us they’d try to fix it and a couple hours later the waterslide got going, but at that point our night was almost over. Our party was a sleepover, and the next morning we’re told all the pools are closed due to chemicals being off. I asked if we could come back later to swim since we live close by, and they said no. I Asked if I could talk to a manager since we’ve had a disappointing experience with the pool and nobody was on site. Asked for an email or phone for them, and sent it to the manager and never got a response. Stopped back in later and still no manager on site. Bottom line, I have serious concerns about their pool maintenance, but bigger concerns about their customer service. They just don’t seem to care. I’d stay away.
Room and bed were nice. Bathroom and shower were small. Whirlpool was under repair. Continental breakfast was better than expected.
Stay away if you have a family. Terrible service and even worse manager. Choose Hilton.com or Mariott.com Extremely poor service from manager "Maria", apparently not her first time as she is listed in other complaints. They broke the pullout couch and cancelled the room. Would not work with us on getting an accommodating room for our kids when we had nothing to do with the bed being broken before our arrival to the point of "Manager Maria" actively not allowing us to get a room. I'll be staying at the Hilton or Mariott owned hotels from now on. Stay away from Country Inn & Suites if you have a sports team family event.
Great place to hotel but wished they would go a little further for there customers. I had asked them to give me 30min to 1 hour extra for checkout and they said they were too busy. Maybe they were but you always need to go the extra mile or it might cost you a good review.
You could tell one of the beds didn’t have the comforter changed (didn’t look past it to see if everything was) as there was dog hair on it. The other bed was clean (I hope), so I slept on that one. For the price, that’s not great!
This was the worst experience I’ve ever had dealing with a hotel! Starting from booking with the front desk “Maria” very rude, unprofessional and lacks safety for customers. She double charged my debt card. There is no one to contact to resolve the issues, I continue to have charges pending on my card for not even staying at the hotel!!! They claim they don’t have them on there, they clearly are on my card, the bank cannot remove until the hotel notifies them of charge or releases it. I will NEVER attempt to stay at this hotel again and the ONLY REMEDY is to fire that person! Maintenance closed jacuzzi, left for the day. but she claims she could remove caution tape and no reason for it to be there. I find that to be a hazard.
