The Delta Hotels by Marriott Minneapolis Northeast generally receives positive feedback, praised for its convenient location, cleanliness, and helpful staff. Guests appreciate its proximity to downtown and attractions, as well as the amenities like the pool and fitness center. However, recurring concerns revolve around inconsistent service levels, dated room features, and issues with cleanliness and fragrance.
Very nice hotel. No freebies for breakfast, or in general. My Silver level profile asks for foam pillows, so two bad nights with king sized giant feather pillows. If your preferences are really needs, call ahead.
We are going to a show at the MN state theater and debated between a hotel near by or just outside of downtown and found this place. I'm glad I booked here, it's wonderful! Rooms are clean and the whole place seems to be well kept. We were hungry and there is a restaurant attached to the hotel that will deliver to your room, and it was quick! Highly recommend this place if your going to an event downtown Minneapolis or just want to get away. This will be the only hotel I book when staying in the Minneapolis area.
I stayed here for a work trip — three nights, late arrival on the first day. The property issued my mobile key well in advance, which meant I could go straight to my room after a long flight without dealing with check-in. That small detail made a real difference. The pantry was a nice touch, the restaurant delivered consistently good food with generous portions, and every staff member I interacted with was helpful and friendly. As a Titanium Elite member, I did request an upgrade and was told it wasn’t available due to the length of my stay — disappointing, but understandable. I’d never stayed at a Delta Hotels property before, and this experience has me looking for them specifically on future trips. Not a “wow” experience, but a solid, comfortable stay that delivered on the basics. I’d return.
I really enjoyed attending a recent work event here. It was great to see that they have a bike rack near the eastern/restaurant entrance; hopefully they can expand this to also have bike parking near the southern/main entrance, too. Our food and drink throughout the event were high quality, and the staff exemplified very friendly service. It was nice to see that they provided reusable coffee mugs (instead of just disposable cups), in addition to having a water bottle filling station.
There was a very strong offensive chemical cleanser smell in the lobby which permeated all the way up to our room on the 5th floor. We were told they’ve gotten other complaints but the manager of the hotel can’t do anything about it because it’s a corporate decision. So I assume it’s in all the Marriotts which would make me leery of staying in any Marriott. Everything else was high quality. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The rooms are very clean. The pool now uses mineral sals to cut down on the chlorine smell and eye irritation which we appreciate very much. But the chemical smell in the lobby is so strong and overpowering that it seriously negatively affected the quality of the whole experience so I am giving a 3 star rating.
Stayed here for a single night on the weekend. Even with a couple large events the hotel was very quiet except in the lobby. The rooms are spotless and everything in good repair though the carpet looked a little worn in our room. We had a room overlooking the parking lot but could easily see the buildings of Minneapolis downtown. The location might seem a bit out of the way but we were 10 minutes from friends 10 minutes to downtown and about 20 minutes from downtown St. Paul and Mall of America. It worked well for us. Josef was fantastic as our first impression of a Delta branded hotel! The housekeeping staff were all very friendly. I'm saying this in all caps because I've NEVER been to any hotel where EVERY PIECE OF EXERCISE EQUIPMENT WORKED!!! It was all top of the line equipment too. For the money and location this is a great hotel. The Marriott app/email noted a nearby cider brewery. We went and were pleased with that too. Good coffee shops about 4 minutes away.
A great value for money proposition as rooms are large with good quality amenities. Staff are friendly and go out of there way to help your have a comfortable stay. A little away from the city. However, a 7 to 10 minutes by Uber.
Walked from my car to my room and to sleep. Checked in with app. Elevator access only with valid key/app (safety). Unlocked door with the app. Clean rooms. Very spacious. Can't say enough good things
Didn't stay at hotel but have before & it was great. I went to bar / restraunt with family after a funeral & the staff was the best we could ask for. Very attentive, quick service & the food was excellent! Highly recommend this place!
Super nice hotel, clean and great fitness center. Front desk was very nice and room was spacious and clean. My only issue is paying 175 bucks a night and get no hot coffee (without buying Starbucks in the lobby - hard pass) and no breakfast without going to the attached restaurant. I have been to quite a few hotels and they have hot coffee in the lobby or breakfast spread for this price.
