The InterContinental Minneapolis - St. Paul Airport offers a convenient and comfortable stay for travelers, particularly those with early flights. Guests consistently praise the modern rooms, airport access (including a dedicated TSA checkpoint), and friendly staff. While the location is ideal, some reviews mention minor issues with housekeeping and restaurant service.
Very impressive airport hotel. Nice design, friendly staff, and nice meeting rooms for business. Culinary team definitely deserves credit... way better food than expected at an airport hotel. Rooms are modern and clean. Definitely the nicest airport hotel I've stayed in.
Great hotel and location connected to the airport. Service fell short at the Bradstreet restaurant and no housekeeping was provided for a 2 night stay. Hotel slipped a paper under the door stating housekeeping had to be manually requested by 3pm but I had already left for the day at 8am and did not a chance a chance to call.
I usually dont write reviews but they deserve one. I usually book through a 3rd party site but this time I booked through the IHG Intercontinental website. We were booked for an early flight (7am) and we live about 2 and half hours away so I googled airport hotels and they popped up. We came down that night and checked in and everything was wonderful. From the front desk to the hotel restaurant (Bradstreet). We did the 4 day stay and park and it worked out perfectly. The parking and room were included in the price and I think it was totally worth it for the ease and peace of mind. Also, they have a designated TSA checkpoint from the hotel directly into the airport terminal 1. We got through TSA in 5 minutes. Priceless! Comfortable, clean rooms. I requested an accessible room on a high floor facing the runway. They were able to accommodate all 3. We spent hours watching the planes take off and land. Overall, its a no brainer to stay here if you have an early morning flight. Id even stay there if I didnt because its so clean and quiet. We didnt encounter any hotel staff who didnt go above and beyond. Id give them 10 stars if I could.
This location is one of the best hotels ever. TSA checkpoint at the hotel then straight to the airport. Super friendly and fast. Room, bathroom, and hotel were clean and odor free. Shower was awesome and bathroom had blue dimmer light. Bar and food were execellent, avocado salad with chicken was excellent. Little pricey but not abnormal for hotels. Room rate was very reasonable for this level of accommodations.
Very nice hotel however: they told us (platinum elite ambassador member) they never upgrade rooms if you've booked an accessible roll-in shower. We asked about a suite but he claimed they were all full. But We had checked and they had suites with a roll-in shower available online. Also, never accept room 320. It shares a wall with the fitness center and people drop weights at all hours making loud booms in your room. You can even hear people on the treadmill. Restaurant was good service and great food.
This was a quasi business trip, but mostly a segue to my final destination in another city. I stayed at this hotel, mostly for convenience so that my early morning flight would not be missed. The staff was ultimately the friendliest I’ve had in a while. Explaining the details on what to expect and being gracious when I had those dumb questions. The room was superior and the bed and pillows, the most comfortable. I had no trouble sleeping the first night. No temperamental HVAC deciding to blow excessively. It was oddly nice. The bathroom silently kept steam from fogging up anything. The bath sheets, yes, sheets, were luxurious and wrapped well enough to cover one extra large or a couple. The only desire was more water pressure but I’ve been spoiled by the wasteful hotels. The hotel has a nice fitness room adjacent to the closed-during-shutdown TSA bridge, for immediate access to the airport for the carryon traveler. And while the restaurant chef confused my order a bit, it wasn’t the end of the world. Gave me a reason to. It eat everything on my plate, except that yummy drop biscuit. Miria and the other lady were welcoming and friendly.
Spotless property, great views if you’re into aviation. I didn’t try the restaurant, but if it’s anything like the hotel I’m sure it’s superb! The fact that there’s a TSA checkpoint in the hotel (albeit only open in the mornings) blows most airport hotels out of the water. Next time I have a long overnight layover in MSP I’ll stay again!
Great hotel, management, and experience. Huge thank you to the manager, Janessa, who went above and beyond for us! We had a minor room mix-up, which was due to a third-party booking. Even though it wasn’t InterContinental’s fault, Janessa kindly offered us a complimentary drink, which we declined because it wasn’t their error—yet she still stepped in with genuine care and personally came to our room to surprise us with incredible desserts: delicious ice cream, cream cheese with raspberries, and a chocolate treat. Truly grateful for such exceptional hospitality. Overall, the room and our stay was fantastic!
I'm very late in my review but here goes. I came into town the beginning of November and was wanting to book for a full week but there was one day they could not find a spot for me. Mikayla and Aaron at the front desk found a cancellation for me last minute when I was sitting at the bar and they had even steered me away from some of the other hotels that were a little rough. I was very happy to stay in one spot my entire visit. Miria and Barb in the restaurant were amazing. We had breakfast with them a couple of mornings and really enjoyed talking to them. Great servers and very attentive. Riley served us in the evening and he was also very quick to jump for our needs. All of the people in the hotel were very very nice. It has been a long time since I've stayed somewhere where everybody was on top of everything.
I had a nice 4-day stay at the Intercontinental MSP. The staff was very nice and helpful. They took good care of me and accommodated my mismatched reservations. I had a corner room on the 11th floor and the view of runway 30R was awesome. I could also see Minneapolis and St Paul from my room. The sound from the runway was minimal and didn't bother me at all. The restaurants on-site were very good and getting to the Blue Line was easy. The shuttle service was efficient, and I even got text messages letting me know when the shuttle arrived at my location to make sure I didn't miss it. I wish there was a lounge and coin laundry but for a short trip they were not really needed for me. Although I didn't need it, there is no convenience store close to the hotel. I would stay here again if visiting MSP.
