Location doesn't have many restraunts or convience stores near by, and the hotels own market closes very early afternoon before check in time even starts. Front desk personnel were fantastic and helpful. Definitely a mixed clientele at this hotel, including many homeless outside and in the lobby. Room was nice and clean, but not quiet as there was an EDM music event nearby that guests attended and brought thr party back at 3 am. Also did not like the only option for parking was valet.

Hotel is conveniently located near the Grand Casino Arena. You have to use valet parking or instead, walk 3 blocks and pay $25 each time for 3rd party parking. If you need a luggage cart you have to wait for the bell hop and you don’t stay with your luggage. The bellhop has a private elevator. There’s a quasi-fridge in our room. Fridge has two buttons and only runs for 2 hours at a time. No microwave access anywhere in the hotel. Hotel seems clean but definitely has lots of wear and tear. Shower has mold/mildew spots which is probably because there’s no fan in the bathroom. The thermostat on the wall must just be a suggestion because it was uncomfortable in our room despite us setting the thermostat to 65°. Had the hotel engineer come check it out and all he said was that it was working. Overall not impressed other than the location. Although, every staff member we interacted with was very friendly. Will only stay here again if I had to visit the arena again. But would definitely seek out other hotels first.

This hotel is right on the river in downtown Saint Paul and thus the view is stunning. The staff did the best they could with the resources they had. One downside was that the restaurant closed 40 minutes early so we were not able to eat bread pudding in bed as planned. Otherwise it was a nice stay!

Hotel has a great location, for a family vacation like we did it was not good. Parking was not free, there was only coffee available in the room. The snacks area was open for a few hours only. Overall, it was ok . Honestly would only stay if I am alone not with the family. Chris was super nice, always saying good morning to us, every morning when he saw us in the lobby he stop by to say hi. Our cleaning lady was great also, I don’t remember her name but thank you for taking care room 1218.

I stayed here with my friends May 28th-May 31st 2026, the hotel isn’t too bad for the price for 3 nights, I do feel as though there are better options in this city with more amenities for the money. Our 17th floor view was very nice. The room itself is a bit tight but doable. Breakfast is $21 a day, and parking is almost $50 a night which is quite expensive. There are other hotels nearby that have parking lots on property that are free. Also this hotel has no pool either. I will also say the area surrounding the hotel isn’t the greatest especially at night, a lot of crazy people walking around the outside of the property and nearby streets.

Had a comfortable stay after an easy check-in. Room was as described and cleaned with care. The staff were good at making conversation or leaving me to my business when I had little time to talk. I was amused by the fast elevator :) Highly recommend

My husband and I chose the InterContinental Saint Paul Riverfront to host our wedding block, as well as our Welcome Dinner. The staff was incredibly accommodating and truly wanted us to make the most of our experience at the hotel. The bellmen, valets, front desk clerks and every staff member we interacted with were fantastic. The welcome dinner was so much fun and worked flawlessly - the Italian buffet was DELICIOUS, the waitstaff and bartender, Jeremy, were amazing. And the room we stayed in was a Riverview junior suite - absolutely beautiful views, more then enough space and it was perfect for our wedding weekend. The location was also so fun - right on the river, walking distance to bars and restaurants, and a quick uber to CHS field. Overall, we were so pleased with our 4 day stay at Intercontinental.

Stayed at the InterContinental St. Paul Riverfront and had a good stay overall. The location was really convenient, especially being right by the river and close to downtown. The room was comfortable and clean, and the views were a nice bonus. Staff was friendly and check-in was easy. It has more of a classic downtown hotel feel, but it worked well for what I needed. I’d stay again if I’m back in St. Paul.

Was an awesome stay. The room was really warm and it took us a bit to figure out how to get it set so it would cool down. Everything else was great.

I recently stayed at the InterContinental Hotels for an extended business trip, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Being away from home for work can be tough, but the staff here made me feel welcomed and taken care of every single day. From valet parking and security to management, everyone treated me with kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. It wasn’t just good service — they truly showed how much they cared about making sure my stay was comfortable. I especially want to thank Julia, Scott, Kim, and Kelly. They went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed during my stay. Whether it was checking in to see how things were going or helping with requests quickly and with a smile, they made a lasting impression and truly made my stay great. Because of this team, the hotel felt like a home away from home during my extended stay. I highly recommend staying here, and I look forward to coming back the next time I’m in town.
